Richard
Brazier is a figurative artist who is currently based in
London. After graduating with honours in 1996 from The
Rhode Island School of Design in the United States he returned
to London and began working from his studio in Battersea
where spends his time either working on a variety of commissioned
portraits or other figurative works.
He has exhibited in The National Portrait
Gallery on several occasions, the Society of Portraits
Painters as well being a finalist at the The Daily Mail's
Not The
Turner Prize Awards.
He has painted a varied selection of distinguished
sitters and has travelled to both Europe & New York
to undertake specific commissions. Most paintings are oil
on canvas though works in various media if specifically
requested to.
Richard recently appeared on the BBC1 Programme Star Portraits hosted by
Rolf Harris where he painted the portrait of the actor Richard Wilson.
He is currently hanging a painting in
the National Portrait Gallery as part of the BP Portrait Awards 2007.
